Piccolo - Turntable package
The Piccolo is a clear acrylic plinth rigid turntable. Like all the other Goldenote turntables it is a belt driven unit. It produces a very smooth, detailed and natural sound. To achieve this high level of sonic performance the turntable is made of parts exclusively manufactured using precision machining and the very highest quality materials.
The turntable platter is made of 20mm thick acrylic supported on a 15mm thick transparent acrylic plinth rigidly coupled to its feet. The Piccolo uses a high calss precision pulley for smooth rotation.
The innovative platter bearing/spindle system is derived directly from the best turntable models. It is based on an external threaded bearing set up with an in axis housing and uses the Split-Spindle™. The bearing has two small graphite/Teflon® internal bearings enabling the Piccolo to perform very close to the standard set by the more expensive models.
The Piccolo also offers the latest Goldenote exclusive Highly Dampened Motor system, HDM, allows a super silent smooth rotation so far unthinkable for AC motor designs.
